Experiencing the Ozark Mountains by cruising through its back roads and scenic highways provides a unique glimpse into the personality, culture, and history of the area. There are numerous scenic drives around Branson that wind past unforgettable landscapes, beautiful lakes, river valleys, ridgetops and historical spots. These scenic drives make an excellent argument for opting out of the fast lane and taking a road less traveled.

Just a few miles from the Branson “Strip” is scenic drive that can be enjoyed by all visitors to Branson because of iyt’s close proximity to the Hwy 76 “Strip”. This 22 mile loop includes many natural scenic views, as well as interesting man made landscapes.The loop can be completed in about 40 minutes. As you traverse the twists and turns of hwy 165 and hwy 265, you will enjoy many longviews from the ridgetops. Hi-lites of the drive include a beautiful view of Tablerock Dam from the Taneycomo side, Chateau on the Lake, Tablerock Lake as you cross the Tablerock Dam and the wonderful Scenic Overlook on Hwy 165. Take your camera as you will find numerous photo worthy landscapes. The map below shows the loop. We just took a random point along the Hwy 76 strip as a starting point. Enjoycruising trough the Ozark Mountains!
