The Track’s New Heavy Metal Hi-Rise
Posted on May 27th, 2011
When Larry Schmidt tells Branson visitors to “Don’t act your age, just drive!,” he’s not encouraging high speed races down 76 Country Music Boulevard. Instead, he’s just advising everyone to relax and have plenty of fun on his company’s go-kart tracks that are scattered around the city.
Schmidt, President and Co-Owner of the Track Family Fun Parks, has recently helped make the fun even more exciting for his guests. Heavy Metal Rise, his new high rise addition spirals excited go-kart drivers up four stories high, then zooms them down a three-tiered slope to the ground. Tight, high-banked curves challenge driving skills all along the dramatic journey.
The state of the art attraction with its rock & roll theme required 200 tons of steel and 700 cubic yards of concrete to construct. It’s part of the $3 million being invested by Schmidt’s company over a two year period to enhance their popular attractions that are enjoyed by people from across the world. There are five weather friendly, “no gate admission charge” locations to choose from at various locations around Branson.
Along with Heavy Metal Rise, there’s Wild Woody, The Lumberjack, Classic Go-Karts, Rookie Go-Karts and Kiddie Go-Karts to accommodate speedsters of nearly all sizes and ages. Along with the go-karts, the Track offers bumper boats & cars, mini-golf, kids rides, arcades, laser tag, drag racing simulators, sky coasters and other choices. So the next time you come to Branson with family and friends, be sure to experience some of the fun times offered at the Tracks Family Fun Parks.
