Prepare to thoroughly enjoy a hand-tossed pizza pie at Hook and Ladder Pizza, a new firehouse themed restaurant in Hollister. Choose between pizzas made to your specifications, sub sandwiches, soups, salads, and/or appetizers such as wings, raviolis, or garlic breadsticks. Hook and Ladder ensures top quality ingredients in their products, and their special sauce and crusts are made fresh daily. Don’t forget to try a “hose roll,” a mouth watering cinnamon roll, before you leave.
The restaurant has firehouse memorabilia, such as a “hook” and “ladder” on the wall as well as helmets, and other fascinating fire gear spread throughout. The menu board can be a great photo spot for kids as it looks like the back of a fire truck. Just outside the restaurant, all ages are sure to enjoy checking out the older model fire engine. As your family sits down to pizza, don’t be surprised if you find yourself watching an episode of “Emergency.” It’s as if you were transported back in your living room with John, Roy and Rescue 51 making an effort to help those in need.
The firehouse theme comes as a result of the owners’ experiences as volunteer firefighters. The owners have stated a desire to encourage others to get involved with their own local fire district.
