BRANSON’S ENTERTAINMENT PIONEERS by Bob McGill
This book is the story of the first Branson Entertainers, who in the 1960′s pioneered a new industry in a small, sleepy, riverfront town called Branson, MO. What started as a few thousand tourists a year visiting the Ozarks to fish the White river, tour Marvel Cave, visit the craft village at it’s entrance named Silver Dollar City, and to visit the areas written about in Harold Bell Wright’s book, The Shepherd of the Hills, blossomed into an amazing vacation destination that attracts over 8,000,000 visitors annually. The live entertainment industry has been a major contributor to the appeal 0f Branson. These Pioneers had amazing vision, and their success is a story with few equals.
