Titanic’s New Gallery

Titanic will be introducing a special new Gallery in 2013 with the Children of the Titanic. The RMS Titanic sailed with 2,208 people on board – 133 of them were children. Titanic Museum will bring Titanic’s littlest heroes out of the shadows and into to hearts of guests when they find new stories dedicated to the Children of Titanic. At the Titanic Museum Attractions in Branson, Missouri you will see what they saw, heard, and felt from the moment they boarded the ship. This year-long, exclusive exhibit is a celebration of those children whose bravery, innocence and faith can be an inspiration to us all.

The Ozark Moonshine Run is a beautiful route that winds through the most scenic areas in the Ozark Mountains. The route officially begins in Harrison Arkansas ( 35 miles south of Branson on Hwy 65 ) and takes you along scenic Hwy 7, known as “the Grand Canyon of the Ozarks”. The southern and western parts of the route travels through several small Arkansas towns that will make you feel like you have stepped back in time to a slower paced lifestyle. As you loop back to the north you travel through the upper Buffalo River Wilderness. This river valley is part of the National Park system and is well known for magnificent ridgetop views, ancient limestone bluffs, and abundant wildlife including a growing Elk herd most commonly seen around Boxley. Jasper has several good restaurants that serve home cooked meals at low prices including the Ozark Cafe that opened it’s doors in 1909. The Cliff House restaurant( Hwy 7 south of Jasper ) is another great lunch stop with an amazing view.

Route Distance: 110 miles ( plus 35 from Branson to Harrison, and 35 back to Branson )

Curves: 662

Gasoline stops: Harrison, Jasper, Mt Judea, Deer, Compton

Directions: Depart Harrison on Scenic AR Highway 7 South heading to Jasper. Travel through Jasper on AR Highway 7 to AR Highway 374 East on your left. AR Highway 374 will join AR Highway 123 where you will turn right. Follow AR Highway 123 through Mt. Judea (pronounced Judy) until its intersection with AR Highway 7 North. AR Highway 123 splits, so be careful to follow the route leading to AR Highway 7 North. Follow AR Highway 7 North to the intersection with AR Highway 16 on your left. Highway 16 will take you through the communities of Deer, Nail and Swain. AR Highway 16 intersects with AR Highway 21 where you will travel north into Boxley Valley. Through the valley, be on the lookout for Elk that graze the fields and sometimes cross the highway. Follow AR Highway 21 to the intersection with AR Highway 43 North. AR Highway 43 North winds through Ponca back to Harrison.

Paddling a kayak through the shade of a tall limestone bluff as a blue heron takes flight from the glistening waters ahead is a pleasant memory from my last trip. The summer season is usually a drier season that leaves many of our area rivers too low to float. So now is an excellent time to paddle Lake Taneycomo or Table Rock Lake. Both offer fantastic, scenic views and a chance to spend some serene time with your friends or family.

Kayak Branson offers kayak, canoe, and paddle board rentals on both Table Rock Lake and Lake Taneycomo. You can rent solo boats, tandem boats, or even boats that will hold three. They also offer guided trips if you are unfamiliar with the area. If the guided trips are not for you, they offer shuttle services to drop you off and pick you up. Kayak Branson provides all of the gear that you will need as well. Kayak Branson makes it so easy, all you have left to do is to enjoy the blue sky over your head, the cool lake waters , and the beautiful natural surroundings of the Ozark Mountains.

For additional information about kayaking around Branson, or to reserve kayaks or book a guided trip, give us a call or you can BOOK ONLINE.

Never fear you will not go without a beer at the Outback Pub! This Australian themed Pub boasts a selection of over 100 beers plus a full wine and cocktail menu to quench the thirsts of all patrons!

The Outback also has a full food menu to satisfy your hunger. If it’s a Snack or Munchie you crave try their Walkabout Wingers, Gator Tail, Pub Sliders, or the Awesome Aussie Combo. For those with a bigger appetite we recommend the Pub Specialty portion of the menu which includes Shepparton Pot Pie, Pub Pasta, Sydney Stir Fry, or Rock Hampton Fish-N-Chips.
