Titanic will be introducing a special new Gallery in 2013 with the Children of the Titanic. The RMS Titanic sailed with 2,208 people on board – 133 of them were children. Titanic’s littlest heroes stories have been documented for the first time. At the Titanic Museum Attractions in Branson, Missouri you will see what they saw, heard, and felt from the moment they boarded the ship. This year-long, exclusive exhibit is a celebration of those children whose bravery, innocence and faith can be an inspiration to us all.
The Titanic set sail from Southhampton, England and after it hit the iceberg it sank in less than 3 hours. You can transport yourself through time, and have the remarkable experience of becoming a Titanic passenger. Upon boarding the magnificent vessel that is the legendary Titanic, each passenger is given a “boarding pass” with the name of an actual Titanic passenger. Throughout your experience on the Titanic you will find out information on your passenger, ending with the Memorial Wall that will reveal their fate.
The Titanic towers 100 feet above the Highway 76 “Strip” housing 400 real and rare artifacts you will experience as you explore the gallery rooms. You will touch an “iceberg”, stand on the bridge, visit the Staterooms, try to send an S.O.S., and walk the Grand Staircase. There are many interactive kid friendly experiences to keep everyone entertained. You can also meet Molly & Carter the Titanic mascot dogs daily from 9 am – 5 pm.
You will make emotional connections with the crew and passengers by their stories and feel their spirit in the personal and private artifacts that are on display. As you take your 90 minute self-guided tour through the Titanic in Branson, MO you will experience what life was like on the Titanic!
